After years of scouring the market our clients purchased the home next door to the best friends. (Coincidentally Buckman Haus had done their home makeover the year before!) The friends referred us (as they had several times before) and the magic began.
When we walked in we found a large, traditional home with mixed flooring, dated features and thermofoil cabinets.
The client described her style as "coastal farmhouse" wanting to renovate the main living areas, open up the stairway, modernize the entertainment wall incorporating a fireplace for her and tv for him and build out a full custom kitchen with a pantry.
Starting in the family room, we paneled the center of the unit, used the finishes from the kitchen on the sides and added brick for warmth and texture. Another request... A secret drawer hidden!
In the main bathroom the wall separating the vanity from the shower and toilet was removed. A fun mix of tiles installed and a new custom vanity accommodating a hand poured concrete trough sink.
Finally, the kitchen. To keep it light and bright we used a creamy white lacquer offset by a dark and moody navy island. Accents of white oak and frosted glass, mixed metals for the hardware and fixtures, luxe quartz with a mitered edge island and drool worthy navy subway tiles laid in a herringbone pattern with dark grout.
