Creating New Spaces

At the first meeting with our client she asked to quote and design the project two ways; One as a kitchen reno using the existing footprint. The second option, her DREAM kitchen, re-allotting what was the dining room to create three new distinct spaces; a walk in pantry, a bar and a small library/reading nook.

We were thrilled when she went ALL IN on the second option!!!

The existing doorway from the kitchen would now lead you through a small library/reading nook into a walk in pantry. On the back side of the pantry facing the family room, a large bar.

The new "library" space gave lit bookshelves, extra storage as well as a bench seat under the window with lighting and an upholstered cushion.

The walk in pantry needed to house all sorts of miscellaneous kitchen items, we combined open and closed storage options utilizing the ceiling height for maximum storage and for fun (and to reach the stuff on the top shelf) we brought in a rolling ladder! Marble sunway tile, soapstone counters and LED lights allow this space to shine.

The client wanted this bar to pack all the essentials needed to host a great party. With decorative display space, closed storage below, pull out trash and recycling bins, a fresh water tap and integrated wine fridge, they're ready to do just that.

In the kitchen we married the white from the pantry and the black from the bar.

We created a big beautuful hood as the focal point leaving negative space between it and the upper cabinets allowing us to take the textured subway tile all the way to the ceiling.

Leathered marble countertops, top of the line appliances, black fixtures, and lots of lighting all lend their hand to bring the WOW factor!
